Randall Smith Scholarship Recipients 2017

The Randall Smith Scholarship award was established to commemorate the spirit of OCPAA founder (and former Santa Ana College Student Body President) Randall G. Smith and his love of politics and dedication to governmental relations, as well as his reputation of fairness, trust, and high ethics.  The $1,000 Scholarship is annually awarded to three different Santa Ana College students majoring in Political Science, Public Affairs, Communications, or Journalism, who demonstrate academic excellence.  This year’s 2017 recipients included:

  • Dennis D. Maxwell Ludkowski

o   Graduating this year from Santa Ana College and will be entering California State University, Fullerton this fall where he plans on majoring in Advertising/Communications.

o   Moved to the United States a little over two years ago from Germany, where he played professional soccer

o   Speaks excellent English.

o   Grandparents were originally from Poland.

o   Anaheim resident.

  • Jenisa Jackson

o   Graduating this year from Santa Ana College and will be entering either USC or California State University, Fullerton this fall where she plants to major in Communications/Public Relations.

o   Was recruited by the College to play on its Women’s Softball team.

o   Has a strong interest in Politics.

o   Fullerton resident.

  • Tram Nguyen

o   Graduating this year from Santa Ana College and will be entering California State University, Fullerton this fall where she plans to major in Communications.

o   Moved to the United States four years ago from Vietnam.  Originally settled in Boston, but moved to Orange County to stay with relatives.

o   Anaheim resident
